It gets lonely in the country

We take advantage of any social interaction we can get.

Palomino Ponies!

Donna is either feeding the pony or trying to get it to wear the bucket like a hat.  I bet it would look adorable in a bucket hat.

Me and Indie (the dog) off to feed the other ponies.  Life is good.

Ping Pong Pavilion!

Isn't it beauuuutiful?

Come visit!  Come play!

It's Tuesday

It's Carl's turn to lead "Simon Says"

Swingle's Meat Company

I feel like I have the wrong people's attention.

A post dedicated only to baby cows. Because I love them.

What is cuter than a sleeping baby cow?

One that is zoomed in!

I just can't get enough of this face.  I expect to get trampled by the mother at any moment.

This is the other baby cow.  He's trying to act like he's not embarrassed that Mom is sniffing his butt.

I can even invade a cow's privacy.

I suck

I haven't posted in months, which makes me a giant failure in the bloggosphere.  But exciting things are happening up in this corner of the woods!  We like it very much up here and so it looks like we are going to stay up here more than just the month or two we had initially planned.  We are about equidistant from San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, and Yosemite, so there are some exciting travel plans in the works now that the weather is starting to become warmer.  I have also been spending much time and energy trying to mix things up with Sharp Formatting and there are some exciting new projects under way.  Well, I think they're exciting.  Most people aren't as into academic publishing as I am, though.  Anyway, I'm going to try and be a more faithful blogger and post more here soon.  If you're reading this, I appreciate that you're still checking in.  Much love, d
