And so it begins!

Friends and family!  Here is where you can find the latest update on our adventure!
Just to get everyone up to speed, Jason and I are taking an extended roadtrip starting in NW Indiana and going down through the Southwest and up the west coast to Washington.  The plan is to stop along the way so that Jason can do plein air painting and I will be working from my now mobile office.   We will be camping out the back of Jason's pickup truck, stopping and going as we please.  If you have any suggestions of places to go and see, please let us know! 
Here's the update so far!

 After having Thanksgiving at the Conn household, we finished packing up the truck and headed west to Yorkville to visit my sister and her family.

 

 On the road!  

At Emily's we were able to spend time hooking up the power inverter, which we will use to charge the laptop and cameras.

 Repacking the truck at Emily's before heading south.  You can see the sleeping platform above and the storage space below.

 Somewhere between Chicago and Saint Louis.  You mean I can make my own milkshake at a gas station? F'real??

 Can you pay too little for a backpack? We'll find out!

We are in Saint Louis today.

Plan is to leave tomorrow and keep heading south in search of warmer temperatures.
